Cornflower is a clear mid-blue, named after the wildflower, set against cream in a crisp herringbone. It goes well with white linen, navy and natural wood, and it brightens a study or a north-facing room. It's warm enough for winter evenings and light enough to leave out all year.

It's woven in Scotland by The Isle Mill from 100% merino lambswool, in a fine two-tone herringbone: a coloured yarn and a pale one crossing in a tight zigzag. From across the room it reads as a solid colour, and close up you see the texture. The herringbone throw is soft enough for bare arms, and at 140 × 180cm, including 10cm purled fringes, it covers a two-seater sofa or the end of a double bed.
