Opal is a pale sky-blue and white houndstooth, crossed with navy stripes and a fine line of sage green. It's fresh and crisp, well suited to a coastal-style room, a blue-and-white bedroom or a garden room, and the classic pattern keeps it from looking too sweet.

The houndstooth is a weave usually seen on tailored jackets. Here it is scaled up to throw size and crossed with a fine overcheck in contrasting colours. The throw is woven in Scotland by The Isle Mill from 100% merino lambswool, so it has the softness of a good lambswool scarf, and it measures 140 × 180cm, including 10cm purled fringes that pick up the colours of the weave.
