Silver is a soft grey and white houndstooth, framed by navy stripes and crossed by a single line of rose pink. The pink is a small detail, but it stops the grey feeling cold. It looks sharp on a charcoal sofa or a bed made up in white, in a modern flat or a traditional house.

The houndstooth is a weave usually seen on tailored jackets. Here it is scaled up to throw size and crossed with a fine overcheck in contrasting colours. The throw is woven in Scotland by The Isle Mill from 100% merino lambswool, so it has the softness of a good lambswool scarf, and it measures 140 × 180cm, including 10cm purled fringes that pick up the colours of the weave.
