The Tonag, or guailleachan, has its roots in traditional Scottish dress.

Originally a square of tartan fastened close to the neck and sometimes worn over a shawl, today it makes a wonderfully simple poncho: slip it over your head and let the tartan fall naturally around the shoulders.

It's warm, distinctive and exceptionally easy to wear.

The fringed edges provide the traditional finishing touch.

Fine wool tartan

Made from fine wool tartan, the Tonag works equally well over a dress for an occasion or as an easy layer over everyday clothes.
